Supporting Ministries

"Baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit." - Matthew 28:19b

As Christians we are called to believe, belong to, and support Christ's family by bringing together Christians in fellowship. We are a caring community here to encourage and support one another.

Small Groups

Knit Wits knitting - Beginners and experts alike come together to knit, mentor, share knitting ideas, and chat on the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 2pm in the social hall. Bring a sack lunch.

R & R Book Club - Discuss a book with others who have read it, too. Meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 10am in the library.

Sonshine Group - Gather items, prepare Sonshine Baskets and distribute them to those in need of a reminder of God's care. Meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday at 10am.

Quilters - Block, cut, sew, and tie from 10-12 Tuesday mornings in the upper room. Enjoy sack lunches and coffee afterward. The 200+ quilts made by this group each year are brought to developing countries and disaster areas by Lutheran World Relief (LWR).

Coffee Hour

Coffee, punch and wonderful goodies give you a chance to chat and enjoy the "in between times" of Sunday morning. Join us in the social hall (main building) after the 8:00 and 11:00 services, or come to the Christian Center after the 9:00 "Celebrate the Walk" service.

Annual Activities

Valentine Dance - Come dance the night away on the Saturday closest to February 14. Live swing music makes this a night to remember. Advance ticket holders may come for a dance refresher class the Friday night before the dance.

Family Camp - Come with your family (in whatever form it takes) and spend a week of the summer with your church family at Lutherhaven Camp at Wildcat Lake in Bremerton. Organized activities, great food and free time by the lake and amongst the trees will refresh you for the rest of the year.

Lutefisk Dinner - On the third Saturday every October, people come from miles around to partake of this traditional Scandinavian feast. Many people participate in the preparation for this event, and many more enjoy the fruits of their labors. For current information go to www.poulsbo-lutefisk.com

Christmas Bazaar - Homemade crafts. Held the first Friday and Saturday in November.

Christmas Concert - Each December all the music groups gather to perform a Christmas concert for the public. Call the church office for the date and time of this year's concert.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans

If you have any policy or account with Thrivent, you are a member of this group. Meet together to plan events and distribute money donated by Thrivent.

Women of the ELCA

The Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is a group comprised of all confirmed women in the ELCA. The local group holds quarterly meetings, offers fellowship events, oversees sending the quilts to LWR, and initiates the circles listed above. The group also meets with women from other ELCA churches at the conference, synod and churchwide levels.
